Description
Day 1: Likhubula – Lichenya Plateau
Meet your guide at C.C.A.P Likhubula House no later than 8:00 AM. After a map orientation, safety briefing, and equipment check, begin the ascent via the fairly shaded Donkey Trail, following the Likhubula Valley.
Hike past the legendary Dziwe Lankhalamba Falls and Pool, continuing up to the Lichenya Plateau. Enjoy lunch en route. Arrive at Lichenya Hut in the early afternoon. Later, enjoy a scenic sunset at Linje Pools View Point.
Day 2: Lichenya – Chisepo Hut
After breakfast, proceed along an undulating trail toward Chisepo Hut, skirting the main ridge of peaks. Pass the dramatic Knife-Edge Watershed, the source of both the Likhubula and Thuchira Rivers. Arrive at Chisepo Hut by mid-afternoon.
After lunch, visit nearby natural pools before returning to the hut for an early dinner and rest.
Day 3: Sapitwa Peak – Thuchira Forest Hut
Have an early morning breakfast, then ascend to Sapitwa Peak, the highest point on Mount Mulanje. After enjoying summit views, descend back to Chisepo Hut for lunch.
Continue the trek across rolling terrain toward Thuchira Hut, passing through patches of mountain rain forest and crossing numerous streams. In the late afternoon, enjoy a breathtaking sunset at Elephant Head View Point.
Day 4: Thuchira – Tiyande Exit
After breakfast, descend via the fairly shaded Namwali–Zaone Trail, following the Likulezi River down to the base of the massif. Meet your vehicle at Tiyande Pick-Up Point, then proceed by road to the Golf Club for lunch.

Important Information
